These terms describe the general rental process. The final agreement, rates, deposits, coverage and requirements may vary according to the selected vehicle and reservation.
Driver requirements
The renter must provide valid identification, a current driver’s license and any additional documents requested during confirmation or delivery.
Minimum driver age, license history and security-deposit requirements may vary depending on the selected vehicle.
Reservations
A reservation is considered confirmed only after the required payment has been successfully processed and confirmation has been issued.
Vehicle availability remains subject to verification. When necessary, Montero may offer an equivalent or upgraded vehicle.
Payments
Customers may be able to pay a reservation deposit or the full rental amount, depending on the options shown during checkout.
Remaining balances, security deposits, location fees, taxes and other applicable charges must be paid according to the confirmed reservation details.
Delivery and return
Pick-up and return locations, dates and times must match the confirmed reservation. Any requested change must be coordinated with Montero in advance.
Late returns or unapproved location changes may generate additional charges.
Vehicle use
The vehicle must only be driven by authorized drivers and used in accordance with Dominican law and the rental agreement.
Reckless driving, illegal activity, unauthorized sub-rental, racing and driving under the influence are prohibited.
Cancellation and changes
Cancellation and refund eligibility depend on timing, vehicle preparation, payment-processing costs and the conditions confirmed with the reservation.
Date, location and vehicle changes remain subject to availability and possible rate differences.
Damage and responsibility
The renter is responsible for immediately reporting accidents, damage, loss, theft, warning lights or mechanical concerns.
Responsibility for damage, deductibles, towing, fines, lost keys and misuse will be determined by the rental agreement and applicable coverage.
